At present, this will probably be regarded as an anti-pattern, but worthwhile change is rarely easy.

current state

Our primary server exists as a DV (dedicated virtual) server at Media Temple

• DV 4.0/ Level 1

• hopefully by 2017 we will be upgrading the server to the next higher tier of DV ‘level 2’

  this will be helpful for speed, additional traffic and a preemptive move to
  accommodate higher projected server load from in-house reservation system

  as of mid-2017 we’ve been running DV level 3

Media temple notice of EOL (current server setup). This means we’re scrambling to establish new environment. Purchased additional DV level 3 to leave production box standing in the mean time. To make matters even more interesting, we’re running the EE upgrade now too (grab your helmets).
